Two years, and then some
Every Seolune piece carries a two-year warranty against manufacturing faults. Within those two years you also get one free resizing, and a complimentary polish once a year — for as long as you wear it.
We make these to stay: through every chapter of a woman's life, and to still look like themselves at the end of it.
What the warranty covers
Anything that went wrong in the making — a stone that comes loose without impact, a clasp that fails, a solder joint that opens, a setting that was not right when it left us. We repair it, or if it cannot be repaired, we remake it. We pay the shipping both ways.
What it does not cover
Gold is a soft metal, and jewellery that is worn is jewellery that changes. That is not a fault — it is the material doing what it does. Outside the warranty:
- Scratches, dents, and the softening of edges over time.
- Chains that have stretched, bent or been pulled out of shape.
- Damage from an impact, a catch, or a fall.
- Discolouration from perfume, hairspray, chlorine, salt water, hand sanitiser or cleaning products.
- Loss or theft of the piece, or of a stone lost through impact.
- Anything altered, resized or repaired by another jeweller. This ends the warranty.
We repair all of these too — just not free of charge. Write to us and we will quote before we touch the piece.
Resizing
One free resizing per ring within the first two years, up or down. After that, and for further resizings, we charge for the work.
Some rings cannot be resized: full eternity bands, and anything with stones all the way around. Cutting one open breaks the line of the setting. For those we remake the ring instead — tell us and we will explain what that costs.
The annual polish
Send us any Seolune piece once a year and we will polish it, check the settings, tighten what needs tightening, and send it back. Free, for as long as you wear it. You cover the shipping to us; we cover the shipping back.
Looking after it yourself
- Put your jewellery on last, after perfume, cream and hairspray have dried.
- Take it off before swimming, the gym, the shower and the beach. Chlorine and salt are harder on gold than anything else you will meet.
- Warm water, a drop of unscented soap, a soft brush. Dry it fully.
- Store pieces apart from each other. Gold scratches gold, and a diamond scratches everything.
- Take rings off for anything that grips — weights, ropes, gardening. Most bent bands arrive with the same story.
Your certificate
Each piece comes with a certificate stating the metal, its fineness, and the details of the stones, along with the IGI report for the diamonds. Keep it — it is what we ask for on a warranty claim, and what an insurer will ask for.
